Noël Egberts


Noël Egberts (1965), Tax Consultant, is founder and managing partner of Trade Facilitation B.V. Noël has specialised in litigating and advising multinationals, small and medium-sized businesses, governments and legal service providers. He has extensive experience in economical customs regulations and in implementing them. On top of that, he supports executive boards of a number of companies in optimizing their supply chain with regard to tax.


Noël is often invited to give lectures and training with regard to Customs and International Trade.

For the purpose of improving the economic activities of the Netherlands, Noël has more than once collaborated with the Dutch embassy’s in e.g. Japan, Korea, Israel, Brazil and Turkey. He writes about topic issues for the Trade Facilitation periodic newsletter and he publishes in-depth articles about specific topics from the customs and international trade practices. Noël is co-writer of the book ‘Fiscal Logistics’. The book gives an insight of the most important legal and fiscal aspects of the international movement of goods. Furthermore, Noël has worked for the European Committee and he can, after many years of litigation, take credit for an amendment of the law.

Mariëlle Huguenin


Mariëlle Huguenin (1972), Customs and International Trade Consultant, has been a partner in Trade Facilitation B.V. since 2011. The customers value Mariëlle for her clear vision and purpose-driven method of addressing customs and international trade issues. Determination and perseverance complement her competences.

 

Mariëlle has a wide experience in applying licences for special regulations and then implementing them. She also is a keen interim manager for small and medium-sized businesses and multinationals. Her other activities are AEO re-assessment projects and export control strategic goods projects.

 

Furthermore, Mariëlle is quite familiar with lodging appeals and has specialised in classification and legislation on excise duties. She also gives in-house customs and international trade training and courses. The developed the Known Consignor training that has been approved by the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee. In addition, Mariëlle issues our newsletter, writes expert articles and has from day one been actively involved in the Trade Facilitation creative productions.

Jan Willem van Gijzen

Jan Willem van Gijzen (1964), Customs Specialist, has been a partner in Trade Facilitation B.V. since 2013. Jan Willem specialises in advising companies on licence application and implementation in case of special regulations and special customs regulations.

 

In addition, Jan Willem facilitates companies in the application and implementation process and in setting up control measures for the purpose of acquiring or maintaining the Authorised Economic Operator status.

 

Being an interim-specialist for customs and international trade operations Jan Willem is keen on customs projects involving change management. He especially likes to run projects that aim for more effective and efficient customs operations management. His expertise on software applications is a key feature.

 

Jan Willem writes articles on topic issues in the periodic Trade Facilitation newsletter. He also publishes articles on customs and international trade practices that are relevant to our customers.

Ben Groen

Ben Groen (1952) has been Trade Facilitation’s security expert since 2014. He has specialised in security matters in the logistic chain and is qualified to act as an Airfreight Safety Advisor on behalf of companies.

 

Ben regards security as one of the quality assurance elements within the chain. Together with those who have operational responsibility, he finds solutions that help to make AEO, airfreight or general operational processes compatible. His activities also include cyber security.

 

Thanks to optimal collaboration and Trade Facilitation’s characteristic pragmatic approach, the two licence application processes of customs and Royal Netherlands Marechaussee can be applied as one coherent process in the business procedures. Within this framework, Ben gives Security Awareness training courses tailored to the companies he works for.
